ABSTRACT: The natural water circulation is still more frequently affected by the human activity. In relation to this has rapidly increased water demand with high physical, chemical, biologicaI and bacteriological water quality requirements. The paper refers to the classical Fe and Mn treatment but also Fe and Mn elimination as well as the possibilities of nitrate and sulphate removal by the "In Situ" water treatment. The ability of the application of this method is obtained by the evaluation of the some aspects (hydrogeologicaI, hydrochemical, technologicaI and operational).
