ABSTRACT: Basic hydrogeochemical characterisation of silicatogenic water in springs of Malé Karpaty mountain was determinated, In observed 15 springs were selected 4 groups of waters with different hydrogeochemical characteristics, types and chemical composition, Most of springs, where are situated at higher elevation above sea level, have water with low TDS and belong to basic distinct or andistinct Ca-SO4 chemical types, To the second group make springs situated in lower position with basic distinct Ca-Mg-HCO3 respectively intermediary Ca- SO4-HCO3 chemical types. Water with high TDS and predominance Ca-Cl respectively Ca-Mg-Cl created mixed chemical types. Different chemical composition has water with high content of Na-Cl and divided mixed chemical type. Chemical composition of spring water was evaluated in period 1994 - 2000. Anthropogenic pollution was detected in all springs, high concentration of nitrates and sulphates was ob served. Content of sulphates decreased in this period in all springs. In some springs were observed cyclic saesonal changes in sulfates concentration. High vulnerability of water in study area is conditioned by circulation in crystalline rocks, by pollution of rain water and by the others anthropogenic activities.
