ABSTRACT: This article presents the results of research during time period 2005 – 2018. The results were obtained from the research of the underground hydrological cave systems of Silická planina Plateau. This paper analyses and compares in detail the water chemical composition of 7 karst springs/resurgences (Čierna Resurgence, Kečovská Resurgence, Eveteš Spring, Buzgó Spring, Pri kaplnke Spring, Pod kameňolomom Spring, Sokolia Resurgence) that are connected with underground streams. The Observed springs/resurgences have similar chemical composition, although they show some spatial and seasonal changes. The water chemical composition correlates with mineral-petrographic composition of rocks. Variations in water chemical composition are a function of length of underground hydrological systems, the underground inflow and activity ponors connected with springs, too. Quality of water is good indicator of local agriculture activities in the catchment areas of springs.
