ABSTRACT: Intensification of mineral and geothermal water use raises also the question on mutual affecting of withdrawals in hydrogeological structures of healing mineral water at Lúčky and geothermal water at Bešeňová. Both structures are located close to each other in the Liptov basin (N Slovakia). The research should prove or disprove the hypothesis on existence of interconnection between the two structures. Several methods were used to reach the aim. The geophysical method of Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics (CSAMT) showed a tectonically disrupted, broken relief of the pre-Palaeogene basement in the area without structural connectivity of mineral and geothermal aquifers. The analysis of groundwater technological properties in both structures showed different incrustation and corrosive properties. The statistical analysis of precipitation and withdrawal data proved the relation between precipitation and withdrawals at Lúčky spa, but no influence of increased withdrawals of 32 L/s in Bešeňová became evident at Lúčky. The last evidence was acquired analysing results of geothermometry which showed that the circulation depth of the Lúčky mineral water is about 900 m and at Bešeňová it makes about 1,580 m. As a conclusion it has been proved that there is neither structural, nor hydraulic connection between Lúčky and Bešeňová structures.
